West Palm Beach District 4 City Commissioner Keith James Celebrates Successful Holiday Food Drive

In Partnership with Local Churches New Bethel Baptist, St. Paul AME and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, December 27, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Keith James, City Commissioner of West Palm Beach (WPB) District 4, recently held a successful holiday food drive in partnership with New Bethel Baptist Church, St. Paul AME Church and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

The food drive was part of Commissioner Keith James’ third annual holiday drive. In previous years, Commissioner James has hosted food and toy drives during the holidays in partnership with organizations such as the Northwest Community Consortium, Inc., the West Palm Beach Police Foundation and West Palm Beach Association of Firefighters.

This year, Commissioner James’ food drive collected non-perishable canned goods to be donated to assist the homeless, families and seniors in the West Palm Beach community. Keith James opened his office for drop-offs and made himself available for door-to-door visits to collect goods.

“The holiday season is a time for reflection and a chance to count our many blessings,” said Keith James, West Palm Beach District 4 city commissioner and mayoral candidate. “Thank you West Palm Beach for stepping up to the plate to ensure families did not go hungry during the holidays. Our community has shown that when we see a need, we work together to make a difference. It has been an honor to work with our local churches during this year’s holiday drive and I look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”

James’ food drive was a 10-day event in conjunction with his ongoing weekly outreach programs to assist families in the city. The drive collected hundreds of items that could be used during the Holidays and New Year.
