NAVAN, CO , MEATH, IRELAND, September 10, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Wells of Life Ireland will mark their official launch on Friday, September 21 at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan, Co Meath. Founded in 2008, Wells of Life is a California-based Christian organization which drills water wells to provide access to clean, sustainable drinking water for the communities of Uganda, Africa.

The special reception will feature music, refreshments and presentations about the work and mission of Wells of Life. Special guest speakers include Bishop Michael Smith, retired Roman Catholic Bishop of Meath, Ireland and Wells of Life President Pete Callahan.

Wells of Life Ireland received approval from the Charities Regulatory Authority in Ireland in April 2018. They currently have three trustees, a part-time operations manager and they’ve sourced funding for three wells in Uganda.

Operations Manager Aidan Jordan says, “Our primary goal of the event is to gain more support and recognition for Wells of Life Ireland and ultimately to save lives in Uganda by providing clean water.” He cites that an estimated 4000 children die each day - one in every 21 seconds - as a direct result of unclean water.

Wells of Life Ireland will work in tandem with the U.S.-based organization that has funded and drilled 385 water wells serving approximately 385,000 in remote villages throughout Uganda. At a total cost of €5000 (overhead costs are covered by the organization), 100% of donations fund each well providing clean water to 1000 villagers for up to 25 years.

The September 21 evening will feature raffle prizes along with various opportunities to support and sustain Wells of Life Ireland.

The event begins at 8:00 p.m. and is open to anyone interested in learning more about Wells of Life Ireland. There is no cost to attend.

Ardboyne Hotel is located at Dublin Rd, Limekilnhill, Navan, Co. Meath, KT13 8XA, Ireland.
