Award Winning Novel "The Latina President and the Conspiracy to Destroy Her" Featured

Author Rothstein Discussing Novel In the White House press room

"If Grisham Wrote Political Thrillers, They Would Feel Like This"

WASHINGTON, DC, US, August 22, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Joe Rothstein, author of the highly-acclaimed political thriller "The Latina President and the Conspiracy to Destroy Her," is featured today (August 22) on the popular web site http://www.manybooks.net.

The novel has been honored with awards at numerous book fairs from southern California to London. Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle says that "for intrigue and suspense, the Latina President rivals anything I've ever read about campaign politics."

In his interview with manybooks.net, Rothstein says that many of the scenes for his page-turning novel (currently rated at 4.8 stars on Amazon) stem directly from real life experience. Rothstein spent more than three decades providing strategy, management and media for political campaigns and causes.

His protagonist in the novel is a Mexican-American woman, Isabel Aragon Tennyson (popularly known as "Tenny") who is determined to reform Wall Street and Washington corruption. A conspiracy of the rich and powerful tries to destroy her first. The result is a rapid-fire story that involves impeachment, an attempted assassination, and murder.

The authoritative Kirkus Reviews calls Tenny "an enthralling protagonist at the heart of a gripping tale of White House intrigue."

In his interview, Rothstein says the inspiration for "The Latina President" was to call attention to the vast gap in the the distribution of wealth as one of the defining issues of current life in the U.S., a major factor influencing the result of the 2016 elections. "I wanted to frame the issue in a fictional setting that addresses real problems, while making it entertaining and compelling for readers."

Rothstein says a sequel is nearly completed and ready for publication.
