Soroptimist International of Calistoga announces Leslie Sbrocco as Auctioneer for Crab Fest

17th annual fundraiser event to be held Saturday, March 3 at Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga

CALISTOGA, CA, UNITED STATES, January 30, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Soroptimist International of Calistoga, a service organization with a mission to transform the lives of women and girls in need, has announced its primary fundraiser and celebration of the region’s Dungeness crab season. Crab Fest will be held Saturday, March 3, from 5:30-10 p.m. at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga. This year marks the nonprofit organization’s 17th Crab Fest fundraiser of which, to date, has resulted in more than $700,000 in donations. These monies fund scholarships and projects to assist women and girls with the challenges they face to move forward in life.

The mission of SI Calistoga will broaden during Crab Fest 2018 to include fundraising for those affected by the devastation of the October 2017 wildfires. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used to support Calistogans personally affected by the disaster. Silent Auction items include: a Calistoga Balloons hot-air balloon ride and brunch for two, a Napa Valley Vintners gift basket with accessories, a Meadowood Napa Valley croquet and lunch experience for four, among other fabulous items.

New to Crab Fest, SI Calistoga welcomes television personality Leslie Sbrocco as its auctioneer. Sbrocco is an award-winning author, speaker, consultant, and television host of the PBS restaurant review series, “Check Please!” She has won a coveted James Beard award, three Taste Awards, and three Emmy awards in the span of 10 seasons on air. Sbrocco was a featured judge on the PBS national series, “The Winemakers” and created wine content for the hit TBS show, “Cougartown”. She appears frequently on national television outlets including CNN, The Hallmark Channel’s Better TV, QVC, and is a regular guest on NBC’s Today Show. Guests at Crab Fest can look forward to bidding on a live auction item donated by Sbrocco: A wine tasting with Leslie, and a set visit to a “Check Please!” taping, valued over $2,000.
