STATEN ISLAND, NY, USA, June 9, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The South Shore Business Improvement District (BID) and Councilman Joe Borelli will host its Taste of The Towns event on Sunday, June 11th from 1pm-6pm. This first of its kind event, will allow participants to sample food and beverages from more than 20 locations across the towns of Annadale, Eltingville, and Great Kills. There will also be trolley service available to shuttle guests to and from each town.

“This event is not only going to highlight the beauty of our towns, but also showcase the great restaurants and businesses we have here on the South Shore,” said Councilman Joe Borelli. “The South Shore BID is one of the most unique in the city, and I applaud them for taking the idea of a restaurant crawl and adding a modern spin on it to include trolley service transportation.”

There will be two trolleys available for patrons to use to get from town to town and they will run non-stop for the duration of the event. Guests are also encouraged to use their own vehicles or the Staten Island Railroad as additional means of transportation.

“We’ve held some great events on the South Shore, but this one is going to be truly special,” said Gary Fleming, Owner of Emerald Studios and President of The South Shore BID. “So far we’ve registered nearly 25 participating locations with more signing up each day, so I’d recommend that everyone comes hungry.”

The list of 23 participating businesses include: Annadale Terrace, Annadale Bakery, Alfonso’s Bakery, Campania, Curly Wolf Saloon, Desert Rose, Filoncino Café, Freddie’s Gourmet Deli, Joyce’s Tavern, Play Sports Bar, The Pizza Parlor, Giovanni’s Trattoria, Il Sogno, Mona Lisa, Mangia Kitchen, Mimmo’s, Nonna’s Pizzeria, Sweet Sweet Sues, Flannagan’s, Ari Rang, La Iguana Azul, Smash Burger, and Talk of the Town.

For the most up to date list of restaurants and to purchase tickets to the event please visit www.SouthShoreBID.org. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 the day of. Ticket holders will receive a complimentary tasting at each participating location and be granted access to the trolley.

There will be three separate registration locations where guests can check in: Richmond County Savings Bank in Annadale located at 820 Annadale Road, Richmond County Savings Bank in Eltingville located at 4523 Amboy Road, and Richmond County Savings Bank in Great Kills located at 3879 Amboy Road. Upon check in guests will be given a map highlighting participating locations as well as a booklet to be used to redeem the complimentary tastings. Guests will also be able to cast their vote for their favorite participating location, and the winner will be presented with a “Best of The BID Award.”
