Dancing Granny Michele Colice-Cadwell to be Featured on CUTV News Radio
LIBERTYVILLE, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES, May 15, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- They often say you should “dance like nobody’s watching.” Today’s guest does just that, but she always seems to attract a crowd.
Michele Cadwell is The Dancing Granny.
“Whenever I hear music I start dancing and I feel like I’m 24 again,” says Cadwell. “People just really enjoy seeing me dance.”
Cadwell uses her infectious dancing to promote peace, love, understanding, equality, and recycling.
Originally from New York, Cadwell’s parents were both artists: her mother was a professional dancer and her father was an actor and acting teacher.
“My mother was always trying to get me to dance and do ballet, but I never did,” recalls Cadwell. “All of a sudden I started enjoying the music that’s out now and I dance my heart out. I get the crowd moving and they always cheer me on and get excited about me doing.”
Cadwell first gained attention when she was shows on the Jumbotron during Chicago White Sox game. The entire stadium erupted in cheers each time she was featured on the big screen and the Dancing Granny was born.
“I guess you could say I’m a showoff,” says Cadwell. “I was put on the screen 10 times throughout the game and every time the whole stadium started cheering and cheering. It was wild. They were all watching me dancing. That’s how I got my name.”
Cadwell is an active member of Sustain Libertyville, a local organization in her town that advocates the need for change both locally and across the world. The Sustain Libertyville Commission encourages their community to protect the environment, makes environmental information and resources more readily available, creates partnerships to achieve sustainability goals.
“My goal is to dance around the world promoting peace, love, understanding, equality and recycling,” says Cadwell. “I want to go all around the world and remind people to be good to each other and good to the earth.”
