ISO 22301 training now available in MOD ELCAS Scheme
/EINPresswire.com/ IT Governance Ltd, the UK’s leading information security and business continuity training service provider has announced that its ISO 22301 training courses are now available in the MOD ELCAS scheme.
The IT Governance ISO22301 learning pathway consists of the following courses: ISO 22301 BCMS Foundation, ISO 22301 BCMS Lead Implementer and ISO 22301 BCMS Lead Auditor. They are designed to deliver a comprehensive education in ISO 22301 best practice and compliance. They also provide delegates with a recognised industry-standard certification awarded by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ). More information is available at www.itgovernance.co.uk/iso22301-courses.aspx.
Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance, commented, “We are delighted that the MOD has selected and approved our ISO 22301 training courses for inclusion in the ELCAS scheme. These courses complement our existing suite of ISO 27001 courses and provide a comprehensive learning programme that supports the development of a career in cyber security. Built on the demand we have seen in our ISO 27001 courses, we expect that the interest in ISO 22301 will particularly come from MOD service leavers who are looking for jobs in senior cyber security management and auditing roles.”
The Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELCAS) assists MOD Service personnel with training that will enhance their current or future career. All training courses must be delivered by an Approved Learning Provider and result in the award of a nationally-recognised qualification at Level 3 or above on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (England and Wales).
ISO 22301 is the international standard for business continuity and defines the specification and best practice for implementing a robust business continuity management system. The idea of cyber resilience – that an organisations IT systems and processes should be resilient against natural disaster or outside attack is a key principle underlining the implementation of the ISO 22301 and closely related ISO27001 standard.
IT Governance Ltd is an ELCAS Approved Learning Provider and is uniquely positioned to provide currently serving and planned service leaver personnel in the MOD with training to effectively implement IT governance, information security and business continuity management systems.
The ISO22301 Certified BCMS Foundation, Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor training courses are next available in August 2013 and can be booked with an approved ELCAS Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) immediately.
