Land's End unveils self-catering facilities

/EINPresswire.com/Britain - The team at Land's End - one of Britain's most popular tourist destinations - are preparing to welcome guests to the historic site's new self-catering facilities, the first of their kind in the attraction's history.

The Stable and Saddle Rooms, located at the popular First and Last Inn, officially open to visitors this month. The £350,000 revamp comes as part of a wider programme of investment totalling some £3 million. Land's End says that the new facilities are evidence of its ongoing commitment to ensuring guests enjoy the best possible stay.

"We are delighted with the quality and style of our new self-catering accommodation," said Land's End general manager David Bryans. "The team of designers has created something very special, giving these historic buildings a new lease of life and providing the very best facilities for guests. The interiors are stunning."

The new apartments are situated within only a short distance of Land's End and the nearby Sennen Cove, and Mr. Bryans added that they provide a "great base" to explore everything Cornwall has to offer. The Saddle Room is a two-bedroomed apartment with en-suite bathroom, while the three Stable Room studio apartments are furnished to a high standard and specifically designed to remain in tune with the historic buildings.

Phase One of the Land's End renewal scheme, completed in time for the recent visit of the Olympic Torch, included the new Arthur's Quest attraction, which opened earlier in the year has proven a hit with families. The Land's End Hotel has also been the subject of substantial refurbishment in last year, with £250,000 spent on renovating its reception area, lounge bar and restaurant.

Further plans for development at the site include the continued upgrading of facilities and the renovation of disused buildings, improved signage for visitors and an interactive educational programme designed to inform children about the history of Land's End. A new piece of artwork has also been commissioned to commemorate the visit of the Olympic Torch.
