The paper changed hands several times in the early years. In 1900, it became the property of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Ford who changed the name to The Timpson Weekly Times. They also published a daily paper named the Timpson Daily Times. In 1911, Syl Winfrey and Tom Molloy bought the paper from the Fords and continued publishing a daily and a weekly newspaper until June 1945. The daily paper was then dropped but they continued to publish a weekly paper.
