On the following times and locations, hydrants will be flushed and tested for a brief period of time.

October 20th - October 22nd, 8am- 3pm

Day 1: KG Ranch, Nooseneck Rd area

Day 2: RT138 and all side roads from Hopkinto  to Meadowbrook Rd

Day 3: 138 and all side roads from Meadowbrook rd to Richmond Elementary

The flushing program serves two important functions. First, it minimizes the build-up of mineral and other sediments, that over time can affect water quality and water flows through the pipe. Secondly, it allows the Water System to verify the fire hydrants are working properly and available for fire protection.

During the flushing operation, customers may notice a temporary discoloration of their water and fluctuations in water pressure. Northeast Water Solutions encourages customers to refrain from drawing water while flushing is being conducted in the neighborhood to avoid potential staining of laundry, appliances and plumbing fixtures.

Running the cold water only for a few minutes following the conclusion of the flushing event should clear the lines. As a precaution, we advise users to set aside water for drinking and cooking purposes prior to the flushing event for use until the water clarity is restored. Please confirm the water clarity before use.
