Location of Incident: 3305 Harmony Highway, Harmony 

 

Suspect(s): Randy Eugene Pack, 45 Years Old

Sheriff Darren Campbell: On Thursday, September 3, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Deputy J. Raper with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team conducted a traffic stop on Harmony Highway near Tomlin Road.

During the traffic stop, Deputy Raper identified the driver as Randy Eugene Pack, 45, and determined that Pack’s driver’s license was revoked. Pack was asked to exit the vehicle while Deputy Raper continued the investigation.

During a search of the vehicle, Deputy Raper located marijuana. A subsequent search of Pack and his clothing resulted in the discovery of Alprazolam and approximately 0.80 grams of methamphetamine.

After the narcotics were located, Pack fled from the traffic stop on foot. Deputy Raper pursued Pack and was able to take him into custody a short distance away.

Pack was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he appeared before Magistrate Thompson. Pack was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Resist, Delay, and Obstruct a Law Enforcement Officer, and Misdemeanor Driving While License Revoked.

Magistrate Thompson issued Pack no bond on these charges.

 

Criminal History: Misdemeanor Assault on a Female, Misdemeanor Reckless Driving to Endanger, Driving while Impaired, Misdemeanor Failure to Report Big Game, Misdemeanor Possession of Deer During Closed Season, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Multiple Traffic Violations.
