PENNSYLVANIA, August 10 - (i) Approaching an intersection that is controlled

by a traffic-control signal may proceed with caution

through the intersection on a steady red light only if

the pedalcycler:

(A) makes a complete stop at the steady red

traffic-control light before entering the

intersection; and

(B) yields the right-of-way to all pedestrians

within any marked or unmarked crosswalk and oncoming

traffic that constitutes an immediate hazard during

the time that the pedalcycler is moving across or

within the intersection.

(ii) May make a:

(A) right turn at a steady red traffic-control

light without stopping after slowing to a reasonable

speed and yielding the right-of-way to all

pedestrians within any marked or unmarked crosswalk

and oncoming traffic that constitutes an immediate

hazard; or

(B) left turn onto a one-way roadway at a steady

red traffic-control light after stopping and yielding

the right-of-way to all pedestrians within any marked

or unmarked crosswalk and oncoming traffic that

constitutes an immediate hazard.

(2) A pedalcycler approaching a stop sign must slow down

and may cautiously make a right or left turn, or proceed

through the intersection without stopping at the stop sign,

except when:

(i) required to avoid an immediate hazard, the

pedalcycler must stop at the stop sign before entering
