Alachua County FY26 3rd Quarter Roads Update: 42 Projects Completed, 44 Underway

​​​Alachua County continues to deliver on the County Commission’s historic $250 million investment in the 10-year Transportation Capital Improvement Program (TCIP).

Since voters approved the Wild Spaces & Public Places surtax, 42 transportation projects, totaling $46 million, have been completed. This represents improvements to over 110 lane miles of roadway and nine new crosswalk/signal projects.

Projects completed in the 3rd quarter include:

  • Northwest 23rd Avenue ($11.6M)
  • Northeast/Northwest 53rd Avenue ($8.5M)
  • Garth-Davis, Lake Shore subdivision roads ($398K)
  • Kincaid subdivision roads ($369K)
  • Idlywild subdivision roads ($380K)
  • Lake Ridge subdivision roads ($340K)
  • Orange Heights subdivision roads($269K)
  • Burritt Estates subdivision roads ($142K)
  • Pennington subdivision roads ($144K)

Projects Under Construction

Twelve transportation projects totaling $20.4 million are currently under construction, including four added in the 3rd quarter. 

Projects under construction include:

  • Northwest 122nd Street ($4.5M)
  • Two segments of Northeast County Road 1471 ($5M)
  • Northwest 202nd Street ($2.8M)
  • Fort Clarke Boulevard ($2M)
  • Southwest 122nd Street ($1.8M)

Pre-Construction Projects

Thirty-two projects totaling $53.6 million are in the pre-construction phase, including three projects added in the 3rd quarter.

Projects in the pre-construction phase include:

  • Two segments of County Road 235 ($10.4M)
  • County Road 234 ($3.7M)
  • Holden Park Road ($3.4M)
  • Kincaid Loop Trail ($3.2M)
  • Northwest 39th Avenue ($2.9M)
