The Utah Division of Indian Affairs welcomes everyone to this year’s Utah American Indian Day on the Hill. The event will be on Thurs., Feb. 6, in the Utah State Capitol Rotunda from 4 p.m. to 5:30 pm. Activities include an exhibitor stroll, a short program with cultural performances, speakers, a brief “Legislative 101” presentation, and light refreshments. Exhibitors will come from various state agencies and local organizations across the state.

Purpose

Utah American Indian Day on the Hill is a community-based event that creates space for the public to experience the Utah State Capitol, and learn about resources available through state agencies and local organizations focused on supporting American Indian community members.

4 p.m.-4:30 pm – Exhibitor Stroll, “Legislative 101” Presentation
4:30 p.m.-5 pm – Event Program: Speakers and Cultural Performances
5 p.m.-5:30 p.m. – Exhibitor Spotlight

Registration

Registration closes on Mon., Feb. 3. The first 75 participants to pre-register will receive a promotional bag. Light refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public, and is a non-partisan event. For more information, call 801-715-6706 or email [email protected].
