The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, has three seasonal positions (no benefits) available at Rockport State Park, Utah.

Job Duties

• Clean and maintain park facilities.
• Clean restrooms and showers.
• Clean day use areas including picnic tables, grills, concrete pads, and litter removal.
• Perform general garbage collection.
• Service and clean jet skis and boats.
• Mow lawns and trim weeds.
• Assist with repairs and basic maintenance projects.
• Install signs and paint posts.
• Back trailers as needed.
• Provide customer service to park visitors.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to back trailers.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays. Day shifts only. Typically 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Availability for 20 to 40 hours per week.
• Must wear provided uniform.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

Preferred

• Experience with Utah State Parks.
• General maintenance experience.
• Trade skills such as plumbing, irrigation, grounds maintenance, or carpentry.
