At 5:45 PM, Troopers arrested Courtney V. Smith, age 37, of 31 Old Carriage Road, West Warwick, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charges of for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation >$10,000, 2.) Giving False Document to Agent, Employee, or Public Official, and 3.) Fraudulently Obtain Public Assistance > $500. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and Smith subsequently turning herself in at the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
