Purchasing Division - Request for Formal Bids
Iredell County Solid Waste is seeking qualified vendors to bid a Landfill Gas Collection & Control System (GCCS) expansion. The current GCCS covers five phases of the active landfill and an old closed landfill. The purpose in the proposed expansion is to meet New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) Subpart XXX. The facility has other construction and hauling operations, as well as service work associated with active landfills operations being conducted during business hours six days per week. Bidders must be able to work in and around existing operations in a safe manner.
The project includes the purchase of materials and installation of (18) vertical gas extraction wells, over Phases 1 – 6, and includes the extension of leachate cleanouts. These will be connected to a 12 inch High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) header via smaller diameter HDPE pipe. In Phase 5, there will be an addition 10 vertical landfill gas wells installed as well as gas transmission lines to these wells connecting to an existing header. The work in Phase 5 will overlap an existing LFGCCS system . This project will include abandonment and redrilling of nonproducing LFG wells across various active cells, as well as installing additions such as risers, valves, etc. to existing transmission lines, air and force mains.
This is a Formal Construction Bid according to the NC General Statutes for bidding and all submittals must be mailed or courier to Iredell County, Attn: Antonia Stines, 200 South Center Street, Statesville, NC 28677. No bids will be accepted if uploaded to the OpenGov platform. This software is only being utilized to communicate, share and provide a place to ask questions and issue addenda.
All questions in relation to this bid are to be asked using the Q&A section of OpenGov. Iredell County will reply to clarify information and if needed an addendum will be issued. It is the sole responsibility of bidders to recognize addenda issued on the bid form provided.
