COLUMBIA, Mo., (August 6, 2025) – With voter approval of Proposition 1, the Boone County Commission will move quickly to update the Senior Real Estate Tax Relief program to include voter-approved bond indebtedness. As stated throughout the election cycle, the Commission intends to ensure no disruption for the thousands of seniors already participating in the program. The Commission will propose and adopt an amended Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program to include voter-approved bond indebtedness at an upcoming Commission meeting. The policy change will go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
