The Importance of Roadside Litter Cleanup
Litter along roadsides threatens local wildlife, pollutes water sources, and diminishes the natural beauty of our community. The Litter Cleanup Program allows local groups to protect the environment while engaging residents in meaningful service. Each bag of litter collected helps improve public safety and preserves Madison County’s natural resources.
You Can Still Help
Although the Spring 2025 cleanup program has ended, individuals and groups can continue making a difference year-round. When picking up litter on your own, always wear bright or reflective clothing and inform someone of your location and planned route. Whenever possible, clean up with others to increase safety and visibility. Together, we can keep Madison County clean and preserve its natural beauty.
