Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Julie Galvano and Jean Wihbey to the Florida Commission on Community Service.
Galvano, 48, of Bradenton, is the director of business development for Blake Medical Center. She fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning March 28, 2014, and ending September 14, 2016.
Wihbey, 52, of Palm Beach Gardens, is a provost for Palm Beach State College. She fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning March 28, 2014, and ending September 14, 2015.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
