Miami-Dade County wins big at 2025 NACo Awards

The National Association of Counties (NACo) has recognized 14 Miami-Dade County departments across several program categories with 151 achievement awards. These awards are issued annually to local governments for implementing innovative programs to improve service, achieve cost savings, help develop a better workforce and improve accountability.
The following departments were awarded NACo Achievement Awards:
- Animal Services Department – 1 award
- Community Action and Human Services Department – 1 award
- Communications and Customer Experience Department – 5 awards
- Cultural Affairs Department – 3 awards
- Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources – 6 awards
- Department of Transportation and Public Works – 2 awards
- Internal Compliance Department – 2 awards
- Information Technology Department - 38 awards
- Juvenile Services Department – 1 award
- Miami-Dade Public Library System – 74 awards
- Office of Management and Budget – 1 award
- Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department – 8 awards
- Strategic Procurement Department – 4 awards
- Water and Sewer Department – 5 awards
