Happy Mother’s Day! On Sunday, May 10, let’s honor the incredible mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers whose strength, love and dedication shape our County community every day. Take a moment to show your appreciation and remind them how truly grateful we are to have them in our lives.

Here are some ways to give mom her very own special weekend in and around our county. 

• Mother's Day at Deering Estate
  • Mother’s Day Brunch: Bring your own picnic, 10 a.m –4 p.m. General Admission: $18 for adults (ages 15+) and $10 for children. Park General Admission is free for Deering Estate Foundation Members and children under 4 years old.
  • Mother’s Day Bay Cruise: Enjoy a relaxing cruise on Biscayne Bay that departs from Deering Estate on the Pelican Skipper, a comfortable riding 45 foot Corinthian catamaran. Enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne (ages 21+) as you disembark and explore the Deering Estate grounds. The vessel complies with Coast Guard Regulations and is ADA accessible.

• A Spring Day for Mom at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
  Celebrate mom on Sunday, May 10. Everything is taken care of, so you can simply arrive and spend the day together. Set at the height of the season, Fairchild is in full bloom expression, with space to settle in and relax. Enjoy simple, well-chosen experiences like garden tea, prepared picnics, and music in the background. Members receive free admission.

• Fruit & Spice Park
  ​Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend surrounded by the lush beauty of Fruit & Spice Park! On Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, guests are invited to enjoy the flavorful experience of their choice:
  
  • The Mother's Day Pour: Guests are invited to visit our tea-tasting station, where we’ll be serving samples of teas crafted from spices and herbs grown and collected right here in the park. Included with regular Park Admission
  • Mother's Day Sangria Tasting: Enjoy a tasting and tour from 1 - 4 p.m. Admission is $35 per person.

• Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
  Treat mom to a tour of this magnificent Mediterranean revival-style estate. Explore the mansion's beautifully preserved rooms and gorgeous indoor and outdoor gardens. Tickets are $25 for adults (13+), $10 for children age 6-12, and free for children 5 and under.
  • Vizcaya Village Farmers Market:  Taste the artistry of local vendors as you explore Vizcaya’s historic farm and village. Discover fresh delicacies, hand-crafted goods, fruits, vegetables, and so much more. Market takes place every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free.
