Alabama State Board of Midwifery Board Meeting Minutes
The Alabama State Board of Midwifery met on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, to conduct business. Board members present included (1) Ms. Laura Reeder (Chair), (2) Ms. Christine Litas (member), (3) Ms. Noel Leithart (member), (4) Ms. Stephanie Armstead (member), (5) Mr. Chris Megginson (member), and (6) Ms. Layla Brown (member). Dr. Joyce Loyd-Davis (member), and Brad Chynoweth (attorney) were absent.
The Board meeting had been advertised on the Secretary of State’s website, by the Alabama Open Meetings Act. With a quorum of board members present, Ms. Reeder called the meeting to order at 5:02 pm.
Ms. Reeder brought forward one application for licensure. After discussion, Ms. Leithart moved that the board approve the application for LM-0035. Ms. Litas seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr. Megginson aye; Ms. Litas aye; Ms. Leithart aye; Ms. Brown aye; Ms. Armstead aye. All were in favor. Ms. Reeder congratulated Anessa Dickerson, LM-0035.
With no further business to discuss, Ms. Brown moved to adjourn, and Ms. Leithart seconded. Ms. Reeder adjourned the meeting at 5:06 pm.
