Painting by Venetian renaissance painter Vittore Carpaccio returned to Slovenia
SLOVENIA, August 27 - The painting will be returned to Piran from Padua next week, when Friars Minor will hold a short ceremony to mark the occasion, after which journalists will have the opportunity to talk to the head of the Friars Minor in Slovenia, the guardian of the Monastery of St. Francis in Piran, and to representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, as well as other experts and institutions that participated in the decades-long process of returning this important work of art.
