Earlier this year, the legislature revised section 57.280, RSMo, regarding how service fees are collected. These revisions take effect today. As a result, the process for how attorneys pay for service of documents in some jurisdictions may change. If you need to pay for service of documents, please check with the local circuit clerk (or sheriff) to determine whether anything different will be required on your part.
