With an impressive 20-year career as a school principal and superintendent across various districts in Washington state, Chavez brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of public school systems to the Foundation.

Aaron Chavez's distinguished career in education has been marked by his unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting students, educators, and communities. His roles as a teacher, principal and superintendent have seen him successfully navigate the complexities of public school districts, implement innovative educational programs, and build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

These grants, ranging in size from $300 to $3,460, are designed to enhance educational programs and resources across the district. To date, SPSF has awarded over $700,000 in grants, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to educational excellence.

As Executive Director, Chavez will lead the Foundation's efforts in fundraising, community outreach, and program development, all aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students in Spokane Public Schools.
