DOVER, Del. – Governor John Carney on Wednesday issued the following statement on the Delaware Senate’s confirmation of Kathleen Vavala as a Superior Court Judge in New Castle County.

“Kathleen is well respected in the courtroom and the classroom, serving as Counsel in the Delaware Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel and Adjunct Professor at Delaware Law School and the Haub School of Business,” said Governor Carney. “I know she will serve Delaware well. I thank her for her willingness to serve the state and for the Senate’s votes to confirm her in this role.”
