Sunrise Elementary School students visit the Supreme Court

More than 75 fifth-grade students from Sunrise Elementary School in Bismarck visited the supreme court on March 27th as part of their studies on the three branches of government. Justices Lisa McEvers and Douglas Bahr took time and visited with two groups to explain the unique roles of district courts and the supreme court, as well as the role of judges and justices. Students asked many questions of the justices, including the types of cases they hear at the supreme court, how often cases are heard, and the processes of the supreme court.
