Senior Minister of State (SMS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Development, Sim Ann, visited Beijing, China from 28 to 29 January 2024. SMS was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
SMS called on Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPCID) Liu Jianchao and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong. They reaffirmed the good progress made in bilateral cooperation following the 19th Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) meeting in December 2023, and discussed ways to further deepen cooperation in areas such as human resource development and people-to-people exchanges. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
