TickITplus Training Gains Momentum As Start of 3-Year Transition Period Looms

A growing number of people are completing Foundation training and, during the summer of 2011, LRQA was officially accredited by gasq to deliver TickITplus Foundation training. That means that there are now three official ATPs, two in the UK and one in Sweden, all delivering this important initial training course.
The three organisations currently accredited by gasq to deliver TickITplus Foundation training are:
• IT Governance (www.itgovernance.co.uk)
• LRQA Training (www.lrqa.co.uk)
• Quality IT AB (www.itqnord.se)
The ATP's have reported a strong interest in the TickITplus scheme and delegates on the courses have included managers from organisations who are compliant to existing TickIT scheme and auditors from the accredited TickITplus certification bodies.
Foundation training has been designed for practitioners and assessors as a critical first step for any organisation that is planning to prepare itself for TickITplus certification.

IT Governance - Their next TickITplus Foundation course will be held in London from 15-16 December 2011. There is a special price available of just £895 including the exam and the BPL can be purchased at the same time for just £115 (saving £20). LRQA Training - Their next TickITplus Foundation course will be held in Cheshire from 17-18 January 2012. The price is £1,145 including the exam or £895 excluding the exam. Quality IT AB - Their next TickITplus Foundation course will be held in Stockholm from 28-29 November 2011. The price is 10,100 SEK for Members or 12,300 SEK for Non-members and the exam is available for an additional fee of 3000 SEK. You can find further information at www.itqnord.se/.
The core scheme requirements are due for imminent publication and will be available from the TickITplus website as soon as they are available. The 3-year transition period from TickIT to TickITplus will start from the date in December 2011 that the core scheme requirements are published.
