MARGATE, FL, UNITED STATES, October 24, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- We Florida Financial, a cooperatively owned, not-for-profit credit union, has donated $25,000 to the American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA), Israel’s National Emergency Medical Service, in support of Israel relief efforts and has launched an on-going campaign that donates an additional $18 for every new checking account opened using the code “Relief.”

“Our donations to Magen David Adom stem from their unwavering dedication to saving lives. Through their highly trained paramedics and EMTs, immediate medical care is provided to individuals in need. As a credit union, our purpose lies in the desire to make a positive impact and bring about change in our world. It is through acts of kindness, one at a time, that we embody the true spirit of a credit union,” Robert D. Ramirez, President & CEO of We Florida Financial. “Driven by compassion, we are committed to joining forces with Magen David Adom, supporting their noble cause, and aiding them in their mission. We believe in the power of collective effort, and we encourage our credit union colleagues to lend a helping hand in any way they can.”

The funds raised via the $18 “Relief” campaign will go directly to AFMDA to support its mission in providing disaster relief, ambulance, blood services and emergency services aid in Israel to those impacted by the recent devastating events taking place in Israel. The commitment of $18 is symbolic in the Jewish culture, derived from the Hebrew word “chai,” which means “life.”
