Growth leads to new structure elevating Jenna Middaugh to Senior Vice President, other staff advancements.
PORTLAND, OREGON, UNITED STATES, October 24, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Green Building Initiative (GBI) is pleased to announce the promotion of senior team member, Jenna Middaugh, to senior vice president (SVP) in recognition of her ongoing contributions to GBI’s success.Middaugh steps into this new role for the association after 12 years of service to GBI in various positions, including most recently, vice president of operations. She has an impressive track record, starting with an early career in international education and is now entering GBI’s first SVP role after earning the association’s Chair’s Award for Meritorious Service. The award was earned for numerous accomplishments, including the successful completion of a five-year project to rebuild GBI’s software platforms and deliver increased value for its members and clients worldwide. The SVP oversight role will take greater responsibility for the association’s expansion, including global operations, community engagement, government affairs, and standards development.
Additional Staffing Changes
In addition to Middaugh’s elevation to the new SVP role, two 6-year veterans on the GBI team are advancing to vice president roles. Sara Rademacher will become vice president of programs and operations, where she will continue leading GBI’s renowned program delivery, client services, and standards development teams while supporting Middaugh in the organization’s global expansion efforts. Additionally, Megan Baker will become vice president of engagement. Baker’s responsibilities include market development, community engagement, membership, and government affairs. Rademacher and Baker served previously as associate vice presidents, and their new roles reflect their contributions to GBI doubling its size and capacity over the last five years.
Rademacher and Baker join Jenna Morgan Hamilton in vice president-level roles. Hamilton has supported GBI in a contracted role as vice president of national affairs since 2015, expanding GBI’s support of U.S. federal government sustainability objectives.
As a final addition to the senior staff team, a new vice president of building and program innovation role is expected to be filled before the end of 2023. Announcements on position openings are available at thegbi.org/careers.
