RUSSIA, September 21 - Resolution No. 1537 of 21 September 2023
A temporary restrictions on the export of petrol and diesel fuel have been introduced in Russia. The relevant resolution was
signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The decision was made to stabilise
fuel prices in the domestic market.
The temporary ban will help
saturate the fuel market, which in turn will reduce consumer prices.
Earlier, to stabilise fuel
prices, the Government increased the minimums of petrol and diesel fuel volumes
that companies can sell through the exchange market. A daily monitoring system
of the volumes of fuel purchased for the agricultural sector with a prompt
adjustment mechanism has been also launched.
