JTISC confirms the 3 year transition for TickITplus starts 1st December 2011
/EINPresswire.com/ JTISC (Joint TickIT Industry Steering Committee) has confirmed that the 3 year transition for TickITplus certification starts on 1st December 2011.
TickITplus adds a Capability Dimension to the existing TickIT scheme to help organisations align their services with their clients and customers' requirements. Certified organisations will give their clients and customers confidence by enabling them to accurately judge the exact level of their processes, using capability assessments.
Organisations that are certified to the existing TickIT scheme will have just three years to transition to the improved TickITplus scheme. As TickITplus has a significant maturity element to it, transitioning might be time consuming. Starting now, at the start of the transition period, is the sensible thing to do.
To get started with your transition to TickITplus, buy the Kick Start Guide and the Base Processes Library (BPL). These resources provide information about identifying and selecting the scope of certification and developing in‐house resources. The Kick Start guide contains guidance on identifying processes, mapping them to TickITplus processes and establishing the assessment strategy (www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/3469). The Base Process Library (BPL) enables consistency of approach and a process baseline for assessment (www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/3460). It deals with processes and procedures and as such focuses more on general IT and less on software development.
