Most of the court’s highest paid employees aren’t judges
(Subscription required) The top earner in the superior court system is Los Angeles County Superior Court’s Executive Officer/Clerk of Court, according to a report released Tuesday by California Controller Malia Cohen’s office. That report, “2022 Payroll Data for State Government, Superior Courts, and CSU,” didn’t identify anyone by name. But David Slayton has held the Los Angeles court’s top job since the end of last year.
