SR 132, PN 0888 (Street) – The resolution recognizes June 19, 2023, as “Juneteenth National Freedom Day.”  The resolution was agreed to by a voice vote.

SB 621, PN 738 (Comitta) – The bill designates a portion of Pennsylvania Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in West Fallowfield Township, Chester County, as the Corporal Brandon Hardy Memorial Highway. A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 290, PN 264 (Mastriano) – This bill amends the Public-School Code establishing a moment of silence and model curriculum to be developed by the PA Dept. of Education relating to the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. A vote of 49-1 was recorded.

SB 607, PN 657 (J. Ward) – The bill amends the State Lottery Law to allow for continued eligibility if an individual’s maximum income limit is exceeded solely due to a Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 746, PN 835 (Vogel) – Amends the act of December 7, 1982 (P.L.784, No.225), known as the Dog Law.

Amendment A01140 (Vogel) – The amendment sets the fee for a lifetime dog license at $3. This established fee is a $2 increase for a lifetime license and is retained by the County Treasurer.

The amendment passed by a vote of 47-3, and the bill went over in its order as amended.
