Pentas Flora CoE - Malaysia’s Premier Waste Management Training Facility Opens
The highly-anticipated introduction of the Pentas Flora Group of Companies' PF Centre of Excellence (PF CoE) made its much-awaited debut.
The highly-anticipated introduction of the Pentas Flora Centre of Excellence (PF CoE) made its much-awaited debut today. This state-of-the-art training centre is the brainchild of Mr. Lim Aik Fu, the Group Managing Director of Pentas Flora Group. More than RM1 million was invested into this facility to provide a comprehensive training module that will offer new joiners a thorough orientation programme before they start working with Pentas Flora.
“To ensure that newly hired employees are able to perform effectively in their roles and make a positive contribution to the expansion and progress of the company, it is our mission to provide them with relevant knowledge and skills. PF CoE is our commitment as a responsible employer to upskill and to differentiate positively our workforce through specialised skills and knowledge training. This is done so that we are able to keep up with the growing demand and sophistication in the Waste Management industry today”, said Oon Kin Seng, Group Executive Director of Pentas Flora Group.
“Our training programmes are tailored to meet the specific requirements of every employee; including drivers, operations personnel, and business development professionals for a variety of business units. This enables our employees to begin performing their assigned tasks as soon as they have received the essential knowledge transfer. Assessments will be carried out towards the end of the respective training modules to determine how well prepared the trainees are for the tasks that they will be undertaking”, explained Jessie Khong, Head of Human Resources at Pentas Flora Group.
Moving forward, the Company’s objective is to allow the Training Centre for enrolment to the general public. This Training Centre will be able to provide courses with emphasis on waste management best practices and compliance, environmental challenges, and emergency response situations.
The opening of Pentas Flora’s brand-new training facility signifies an important investment in the future of its employees.
