WHITE PLAINS , NEW YORK , UNITED STATES , April 13, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ -- The YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester will host its 15th Annual In the Company of Women Benefit Luncheon on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 11:45 am – 1:00 pm, with registration and networking beginning at 11:00 am, at the Westchester Marriott located at 670 White Plains Road in Tarrytown, NY. This year’s event will honor Dr. Clarel Antoine with the Trailblazer Award, KeyBank with the Community Partner Award, and Mastercard Women’s Leadership Network with the Visionary Achievement Award.

“I am excited for our 15th Annual In the Company of Women, as we reunite in person and celebrate the transformational power of women,” said Tiffany S.W. Hamilton, the new CEO of YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester. “YWCA’s mission of empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting peace, justice, and freedom for all, is needed more than ever as we continue to transform our community and build a better world.”

Dr. Clarel Antoine is a world-renowned OBGYN and founder of Rx Compassion, a nonprofit organization focusing on maternal health and cesarean safety. Dr. Antoine has dedicated over 40 years to improving women’s reproductive health and safer childbirth and has dramatically decreased incidences of maternal health complications through his commitment to compassionate patient care and innovative surgical techniques.

KeyBank Corp. and the KeyBank Foundation have been long-standing champions of the YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester. Over the years, both KeyBank Corp. and its Foundation have given a combined total of $240,000 to support the YWCA and its initiatives. Most recently in 2021, the Foundation donated a $200,000 grant ($100,000 per year for two years) to fund the organization’s YW Strive program, which was designed to connect women to free internet access and devices as well as the training to utilize them. The grant was created to provide at least 100 women (with an emphasis on women of color and low-income women) with essential digital and workforce support to improve their vocational opportunities. This community partnership has provided life-changing digital skills training and resources to low-income women currently residing at the YWCA’s Women’s Residence in White Plains, as well as to women residing throughout Westchester County.

Mastercard has been a steadfast ally to the YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester and generous donor to In the Company of Women. Since 2021, the Mastercard Women’s Leadership Network has partnered with the YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester and has been open to all volunteer opportunities in support of the organization. Over the past two years, the Mastercard Women’s Leadership Network has ran holiday wish list drives for the Women’s Residence, provided Girls4Tech STEM programming for Girls Empowered through Meaningful Support (GEMS) in 2022, ran a clothing drive for the Women’s Residence, and have led workshops, mentoring, and other training.

This year’s program will demonstrate the lasting impact that supportive housing, childcare, early education, health & wellness, and leadership development can have on molding the future of women and their entire families – especially when programs are delivered with a racial equity lens. As part of this year’s event, attendees will enjoy something new, an exciting “In the Company of Women” conversation with four YWCA changemakers who are innovating new ways to support our community and an opportunity to meet CEO Tiffany S.W. Hamilton as she presents “The State of the whY.”

The 15th Annual in the Company of Women was made possible thanks to the generous support from the following sponsors: Empowerment Sponsors – PepsiCo, Regeneron, Rx Compassion; Justice Sponsors – Con Edison, Marge Feder, Andrea Foote, KeyBank, Ginger Waters, Webster Bank; Freedom Sponsors – Brown & Brown of New York, Inc., Cerini & Associates, LLP; Dignity for All Sponsors – Fusion Networks, PCSB Bank, White Plains Hospital, United Healthcare.
