New Courthouse Reflects Growing Community

Medina County has a new courthouse as part of a larger makeover that improves judicial services for its residents.

The new courthouse was built to upgrade the facilities for the common pleas general, juvenile, and probate divisions, and the clerk’s office. The infrastructure, larger space, and streamlined layout was designed to make it easier and more efficient for people who need the court’s services.

The neighboring courthouses – built in 1841 and 1969 – are also undergoing renovations that will consolidate all city and county court services to the same city block. The 1841 courthouse will be the home of the domestic relations division and the 1969 courthouse will hold the municipal court.
