Nominations for 18th Annual Connecticut Women of Innovation® Awards Closing SOON (in Two Weeks)
Women and girls who are recognized STEM achievers will be celebrated on October 25, 2023 at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven
HARTFORD, CT, U.S., April 13, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ -- The Connecticut Technology Council is calling for Women of Innovation 2023 Nominations until April 30th at midnight for the state’s premier awards and networking event recognizing women innovators, role models, and leaders in STEM.Nominate an exceptional CT woman in STEM at the Women of Innovation Nomination Form.
Nominees are women in business, academia, research science, and the community, and young women pursuing STEM studies across a diverse range of professions and projects. These women and girls are innovators, role models, and leaders in their chosen fields.
Finalists are nominated by peers, coworkers, and mentors for their professional experience, history of innovation, and ability to think creatively, solve problems, and demonstrate leadership. Over 800 WOI alumnae have been selected by a volunteer Judging Committee or subject matter experts in STEM disciplines.
High school, undergraduate and graduate-level students are chosen based on their inventiveness, accomplishments in science and technology, independent research, academic achievement, and community service. Scholarship funds are included for students who are winners in their categories.
Complete the form and submit candidates at Women of Innovation Nomination Form before midnight on April 30.
Finalists in seven categories will be announced this summer. (This list will be published in news outlets and in the Women of Innovation section of ct.org.) Winners in each category will be announced on the evening of the celebration. -
Save the date: Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 5 – 7:00 PM at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven for the Women of Innovation 18th Awards celebration.
Past events have attracted CT government, business, and economic leaders, organizational representatives, honorees, guests, and sponsors who share the goal of supporting women in STEM roles.
