Reforms in Uzbekistan are highly appreciated
UZBEKISTAN, March 15 - A delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Shakhlo Turdikulova is participating in the sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67).
Ms. Turdikulova met with the Deputy Executive Director of UN Women Anita Bhatia. She highly appreciated the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring gender equality and women’s rights, increasing their status in society.
The UN representative expressed her readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in the implementation of the Strategy for achieving gender equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 and the National Program to increase the activity of women in all spheres of the economic, political and social life of the country for 2022-2026.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the introduction from April this year of the position of a manager responsible for the implementation of activities and projects of the UN Women structure in Uzbekistan.
