Wildlife staff from the Magic Valley Region, Idaho Fish and Game just announced that they will host four public open houses across the Magic Valley to take public comment on big game hunting season proposals for the upcoming 2023 – 2024 seasons. 

Proposals will be available for review in early February and will be posted on the Idaho Fish and Game website.

The comment period will be open from February 8 – 22, 2023.

Comments can be submitted in writing at public open houses, on the Department website, or by phone, mail, email, or walk-in to the Magic Valley regional office during normal business hours.

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will approve the 2023 – 2024 big game seasons at their March 2023 meeting.

Each open house will begin with a 30-minute overview presentation by regional wildlife staff, then transition into an open house format with staff and displays situated throughout the meeting room.

Magic Valley Region open houses will be held at the following locations and dates from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.:

February 9 – Burley, Best Western Burley Inn, 800 N Overland Ave 

February 13 – Mountain Home, Elk’s Lodge, 325 S 3rd West

February 16 – Hailey, Community Campus, Minnie Moore Room, 1050 Fox Acres Rd

February 21 – Jerome, Magic Valley Regional Office, 324 South 417 East

The Mountain Home meeting on February 13 will be co-hosted with Fish and Game staff from the Southwest Region.
