Big plans in store for historic Ashland building
An Ashland business owner is using a large grant to fill what she considers a big need in the area.
Jeanne Aspenson has operated a boutique store for over a year now inside the historic building that once was home to the Union National Bank and has big plans for the upstairs.
She wasn’t sure what the upstairs would look like. When she saw it for the first time, she said, “Oh wow, this has to be a wedding venue.”
But before anyone says, “I do,” there is lots of work to be done. To help make her vision become a reality, the city has been awarded a $125,000 Economic Development Investment Grant through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
