VX-31 Commanding Officer Relieved
The loss of confidence is a result of actions leading to a Nov. 4, 2022 arrest and citation for driving while intoxicated at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, California.
Cmdr. Reese has served as the VX-31 commanding officer since March 2022. Cmdr. Christopher Putre, currently VX-31 chief test pilot, will assume command.
Reese will be temporarily reassigned to Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.
