Fort Duquesne Bridge Inspection Friday Night in Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Fort Duquesne Bridge (I-279) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Friday night, December 2 weather permitting.
A single-lane restriction will occur on the southbound (lower deck) Fort Duquesne Bridge from 10 p.m. Friday night through 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Additionally, lane restrictions will occur on the Route 65 and I-279 approach ramps to the bridge. The bridge and all ramps will remain open during the inspection.
Crews from Gannett Fleming will conduct the routine inspection work.
Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
