A youth walk was organised on the occasion of the 29 October Republic Day by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Atatürk Research and Application Center (ATAUM) and EMU Atatürk Ideology Club. The walk, which took place at 19:23 on Saturday, 29 October, 2022 as part of the celebrations for the 99th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, commenced with the singing of the National Anthem in unison at the EMU Atatürk Square.
EMU student clubs also provided intense support to the walk, which attracted great turnout. The crowd gathered at EMU Atatürk Square celebrated the 29 October Republic Day with enthusiasm by marching to the accompaniment of flags and torchlights. The march ended after Atatürk's address to the youth was recited at Sulu Çember.
