Deputy Prime Minister meets with EBRD representatives
UZBEKISTAN, September 26 - Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev met with EBRD representatives
The EBRD delegation includes First Vice President Jürgen Rigterink, Secretary General Kazuhiko Koguchi, Managing Director for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai and the leadership of the EBRD Office in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for deepening cooperation between the financial institution and Uzbekistan in certain priority areas.
The participants of the meeting noted compliance with the current EBRD Country Strategy for 2018-2023 and the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026. The parties also studied the course of joint investment cooperation.
The bank’s management highly appreciated the consistency and timeliness of the ongoing structural reforms in the country, expressing readiness to strengthen interaction within the framework of their implementation.
Issues of preparation for the Annual Meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors in Samarkand in 2023 were considered.
