Repairs Planned for this Weekend on SB I-83 John Harris Memorial (South) Bridge

Lane restrictions will be in place; delays expected

Harrisburg, PA – Expansion dam repairs are planned for this weekend on the southbound Interstate 83 John Harris Memorial (South) Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River between Dauphin and Cumberland counties.


This work will be performed from 9:00 PM Friday, September 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, September 19, weather permitting. 


The two left lanes of southbound I-83 will be closed from 13th Street in Dauphin County to the Lemoyne Exit in Cumberland County. The right lane will remain open, as will all ramps.


There may be delays. Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
