Alexey Miller and Horst Seehofer point out importance of constructive interaction while developing gas-powered generation
Today Berlin hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Horst Seehofer, Bavarian Prime Minister.
The parties discussed the bilateral cooperation deepening in the energy sector. Special attention was paid to a possible increase in Russian gas supplies to Germany as well as to joint gas-powered generation projects in Bavaria. The parties shared the idea about the importance of developing gas-powered generation taking into account the decisions to decommission nuclear power plants.
Based on the meeting results, Alexey Miller and Horst Seehofer expressed a unanimous opinion that constructive interaction of European energy companies while building new gas pipelines from Russia could be regarded as a mutual aspiration to secure reliable, safe and uninterrupted Russian gas supply routes to Europe.
