ROCKVILLE, Md., July 5, 2022—Councilmember Will Jawando invites Montgomery County residents to participate in a virtual town hall on economic uncertainty and housing stability for renters on Wednesday, July 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Joining the event will be Maryland State Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins along with advocates for renters and affordable housing.
Residents concerned about rising rental costs and the lack of affordable housing in Montgomery County are encouraged to join this town hall. Representatives from the Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA) and Health and Human Services (HHS) will be available to answer questions about tools and resources available to renters in the County.
Who: Councilmember Will Jawando, Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins, advocates from Action in Montgomery (AIM), CASA, Jews United for Justice (JUFJ), Montgomery County Racial Equity (MORE) Network and Montgomery County Renters Alliance.
